Interview process was lunch with the hiring manager. Spent lunch being informed of the company history/ future and answering any questions I had. When asked if there were any questions for me, the answer was no. This manager was sold on my qualities by a person who worked for this manager who had recommended me.

Worse ever process I faced.
Started in December-2015.
Initially telephonic round by QA manager and asked me to fly down to Bangalore. Was interviewed by 5 people and all went good and sent back saying will come back as that was year ending time and long vacation period. Kept on counting as I did my best in all rounds.
There's no call back and I decided to move on.
Suddenly after 4 months (Apr-16) received a call saying that am not very well suitable for previously interviewed team and they do have opening in other team and confirmed me for further process. And this team is just looking only for full time automation guy not for protocol testing.
1) Team1 who interviewed me in dec-15 concentrated fully on automation/programming skills and testing abilities which I have well answered. No question on protocol or not even out of automation/programming aspects, nothing at all.
2) But when received call in month apr-16, I was told that Team1 was/is looking for a protocol test engineer and hence I was rejected. Conveyed him that team1 didn't questioned me anything apart of automation, he said he is not aware of all this and confirmed me for further discussions with team2.
3) Team2 who interviewed over skype, 2 rounds, questioned much on protocol side which I clearly said I haven;t worked and pushing me to correct my profile to remove those since I have mentioned. Second person seems like manager or something is totally a jerk... he kept on questioning me w/o giving chance to answer and even if I answer he doesn't accept. At the end he just completes interview in a pretty weird way.
Funny part is this HR who called me in Apr-16, stressed saying that in Sandisk they won't reject any candidate and they keep trying to fill in 1 or other position and hence re-try to call me. Now I realize why they won't reject. They un-necessarily kills candidates time by forwarding profiles to mismatch team and say candidate is not good.
First get clear picture of what you want and ask HR's to shortlist properly.
Wonder how they work together in team2.
Pity those guys in lateral team. Barbaric

I was leaving for a vacation at the time of proposed interview time and manager accomodated my schedule which was nice. Although overall interview process was quiet professional , during lunch break , one of the employee started gossiping which I found highly unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. I was also asked some basic nand operation questions Besides my over all resume review.
