Beggers can't be choosers. SkyVu will more often than not take anybody they can get. If you are good enough they will hire you on straight away. If you are not good enough you will be an unpaid and unmanaged intern failing forward for a few months before being let go. Things seem to have changed for the better since I got hired, but things were pretty rough starting out.

Submitted my portfolio via e-mail and handed my physical portfolio to a friend who was already employed in order to get it in front of the boss. The portfolio reportedly sat untouched on a table in the middle of the studio but I got an email response pretty quick. I was in and I started Monday. I wouldn't be paid for three months, but that's fine, I'm just happy to be here. I'll be sporadically let-go and rehired three times over the course of two years before my final and confusing termination. I was never interviewed once.
