The hiring manager was completely inept. It was clear I knew more about communication processes, procedures and the industry than this person did. Funny thing is - they went with another candidate who lasted all of 6 months. A recruiter contacted me to interview me again for the same position. It was clear I knew the exact technicalities of the position and the hiring manager was still in over their head. Needless to say - didn't get an offer the second time, either. Oh well, saves me a lot of grief.
