The interview process started off pretty simply. I applied for the job in an online application. I then received a phone call the next day inviting me in for a group interview the following week. When I arrived at the interview, only 3 other people turned up so it was decided that they were going to do 1:1 interviews instead. Firstly, we had to sign a 'right to work' document and some relevant health questions. When it came to the actual interview, the lady interviewing me was very nice and asked very straight forward questions. The interview itself lasted no longer than 15 minutes. After the interview she told me that I had done very well and she had no doubt that I would be offered the job. Later that night I received a call informing me that my interview had been successful and that I could come in for a work sample the next week. The work sample was very easy and basically involved following around a member of staff whilst they showed you what the job involved. It lasted barely 30 minutes. At the end of the work sample I was told that I would receive a call as soon as the right to work document came back to let me know what my shift times would be, etc. A month passed and I had not heard back from Tesco so I sent them an email asking when I could expect to hear back. A few weeks passed and my email was ignored completely. I then called on two separate days but on both days customer services could not get hold of the manager. The next day I managed to get hold of the manager and to be quite honest, she was rude on the phone and seemed like she couldn't care less about my job application. She told me she was very busy and couldn't deal with it today but asked for my number and said she would call back the next day. Almost another month has passed and I haven't received any calls from Tesco. I have now given up trying to get hold of them because I feel like I don't want to work for a company that treats me with such a lack of respect. I don't know whether it was just the particular store that I applied for or whether this is a common occurrence across all Tesco stores, however I would not recommend applying for a job here to anybody.

Domanda 1
Explain a situation where you have gone beyond what was expected of you? (not a very difficult question in fact if you have prepared yourself, however all the other questions were even easier than this)

Nice environment. Kind people. Asked the right questions and I felt I could ask any questions i had. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would recommend to other people to do an interview with them.
Very easy, just asked a few questions about my experience and my availability on time etc. what days i can work and my flexability on the dates i can do

Easy breezy, answer why you want to work there and they give you scenario questions which are easy to provide narrative on. Just use your initiative and they will hire you
