I was contacted a few weeks after submitting my application to complete an assessment. The assessment was unpaid and was sent prior to any interview. It took a few hours. A couple weeks after submitting it, I received an email saying I would be sent the next steps in the hiring process in a couple weeks. I assumed this meant there would be a next step. Two weeks later, I was rejected from the role with a stock email and no feedback or even a personalized email. My feedback to Groundwork Collaborative is that an unpaid assessment prior to even meeting candidates does not reflect well on an organization that claims to value progressive ideals and economic equality. Hypocrisy at its finest.
