I had an intro/phone interview with one of their recruiters in the New York office. She was polite (although talked more than she asked questions), but it became very obvious early on how junior she was, too junior to be taking senior marketing interviews in my opinion. She had very limited knowledge of the role and gave surface level answers to specific questions I asked about the role and team (nothing technical, or that other recruiters at sophisticated tech companies wouldn't be able to answer). She sounded like she was reading from a script, which is fine but I wouldn't feel comfortable she was going to get me in front of the right people by the conversation. I also would have thought she would have more context on the company's vision and product considering she held an Account Manager role at the company previously. I reached out a couple times and still haven't heard back. If candidates give you their time, it's courteous to at least respond back letting them know they're no longer considered for the job. Highly disappointed in the disorganization and immaturity of this process considering the reputation of the company. Funny, I had an intro call with another recruiter through a referral last year and she was fantastic (she knew a lot about the business and was very responsive); the lesson is that I should have reached back out to her versus apply directly.
