      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Thrive Market nel mese di apr 2026

      Colloquio

My experience with the Thrive Market interview process was disappointing and felt particularly egregious given my background in People Ops. After applying, I was asked to complete a one-way video interview. As a People Ops professional with 10 years of experience, I found this approach very impersonal. Rather than standard "get to know you" prompts, the questions were high-level inquiries typically reserved for a two-way dialogue where a candidate can also vet the team. One-way video interviews are awkward enough, but using them to replace a formal initial screen without allowing the candidate to meet the team is a significant missed opportunity for engagement. This was quite literally a one-sided experience and, frankly, felt dismissive of the candidate's time. To make matters worse, despite a promised follow-up within 2–4 business days, I never received a status update. Respecting a candidate’s time is a baseline requirement for a healthy employer brand. If a company doesn't show up for the first step of their own process, it speaks volumes about their internal culture. Candidates deserve better than being "weeded out" by a recording. I hope the team re-evaluates their screening process to prioritize human connection and basic communication.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate hearing directly from candidates about their experience. For some high-volume roles, we use one-way video interviews as an initial step in the process due to the volume of applications we receive. This approach helps our team review candidates more consistently and gives applicants an opportunity to share more about their background beyond a resume alone. Candidates who move forward in the process meet live with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional team members throughout the interview experience. We also understand that this format is not every candidate’s preferred experience, particularly for more senior professionals or candidates who value a more conversational introduction to a company. We appreciate the perspective you shared and will continue evaluating how to best balance efficiency, communication, and overall candidate experience as we scale.
