I applied via LinkedIn. I heard back relatively shortly after having applied. I scheduled an interview via an email thread. All smooth there. Then it was time for the phone screen. And as expected I spoke with a recruiter. Unfortunately, the phone screen did not go so smoothly. The recruiter seemed super busy and overwhelmed. The audio quality was patchy. I felt misrepresented. I guess other phone screens that I have had were easier going, with clearer audio, more focused and available to have a back and forth dialogue. Upps. Above all, Toast has a neat mission and I'm sure something odd had thrown a curve ball in the fate of my phone screen... sun spots.
