Arrived for scheduled tour at facility at 4 am. VERY casual. Open interview, only 2 applicants. Two supervisors were in the office, no intro. He said, 'do you want to do the tour?' to her and she led us to the place to wait for her. I introduced myself to the other applicant. No formal introductions between the staff and us. This was odd. The supervisor told us about the 70 lb boxes but they would be more like 100 lb. She talked about the weather, how we'd get dripped on in the entryway of the building. She said there was a lot of joking and not to be offended easily. She said she gets her benefits and then has her own business on the side. Hours for holidays were going to be midnight to 9 am. It was extremely casual. We wrote our phone numbers on a paper but didn't interview. It felt flat. It was 'just matter of fact'.
She showed us the area of unloading and loading, and how they loaded the trucks like video game. She asked if we had any questions. (I didn't.) Then she asked which we would like to do, unload or load?

Signed up and got the job. Have to pass a drug and background test. They're constantly looking for bodies, with generally high attrition rate for new hires. The guys that get through the probationary period typically stay a long time, many until retirement.

Straight forward, to the point. Question and answer style. Can you manage to move X amount of packages in Y amount of hours? How well do you deal with difficult personalities?
