The interview was supposed to be conducted via a web application, but due to technical difficulties, it was conducted by phone. I had to email HR multiple times to confirm with whom I would be interviewing. My interviewer seemed more nervous than I was. The interview was conducted through a standardized script that even included lines like "you have 1 hour to answer the following 10 questions. If you answer all the questions, you may use the time remaining to ask the interviewer questions." The entire experience was awkward, depersonalized, and made it very hard to engage in comfortable conversation.

Very easy, just explain why you’d be interested. Talk about your transferable skills and express great interest in the opportunity. It was also over the phone with the manager at the time.
