I reached out to a connection on LinkedIn to set up an interview. I even dropped my salary expectations to be considered for the role. I had my initial interview where I was asked in-depth questions about my background and about the company's blog. There was no initial phone screen. I never got a definitive answer from HR or the team I interviewed with about the role. I had to go through personal email to see if I was still in contention. Ended up to be a complete mess clearly. No one could clearly communicate.
