A Veeam recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn Messaging. Seemed super interested. Very responsive to my questions. Said I looked like I'd be a great addition to the "Veeam Team". I was psyched. She set up a call, we talked, and within days I spoke with the hiring manager. Great signals! Then the waiting game. No email. No replies to email. No phone calls. I was ghosted. Finally after numerous tries (two months had passed) I was told "hiring manager really enjoyed the conversation -- but you aren't technical enough." Interesting -- since we didn't talk about anything technical. Anyway, at one point Veeam had over 40 open marketing positions of various flavours. Others that I knew that were also enticed to join the "Veeam team" were also ghosted. If you interview with Veeam, prepare to be ghosted unless they really love you from the start.
