      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'agenzia di reclutamento personale. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso WorkLLama (Bengaluru) nel mese di apr 2020

      Colloquio

I applied through a recruitment agency. The process took about 2 weeks. In total there were 3 levels of technical interviews in addition to initial phone screening by the recruiting HR. Of these, the 2nd level involved actual coding. Feedback at each stage was prompt. Generally the feedback was received either on same or next working day. After the initial phone screening, first level of interview was scheduled over a Skype call. The interviewer was a senior developer from WorkLLama. Interview was mostly centered around gauging the candidate's hands-on knowledge in Java language (Java 8 knowledge is must), JPA/Hibernate, Spring framework, Spring Boot, designing RESTful APIs, HTTP methods etc. Overall a very pleasing experience. Soon after I got informed by my recruiter that I made the first cut and will be scheduled for 2nd round of interview. Next round was by a Senior Architect. This round involved solving Data Structure problems live over a Skype call. I was a bit rusty with DS/Algo, but eventually managed to solve the problems. The interviewer was extremely patient despite my slow pace of working out the solution. Post coding session, he asked general questions about the projects I worked on and what coding and C/CD practices were followed in my previous company. The next day I was informed I made the cut for the final round. The last of the technical round was scheduled on weekend. It was with the Engineering Director of the company over a Skype call. This call was different than the previous two rounds. He was more interested to understand how well I knew the technologies I worked on in my prior company when it comes to applying them in real projects. He was keen on understanding projects/issues I worked on which were challenging and how I overcame them. So this round was a mix of both technical and personality assessment. Lastly, he discussed my salary expectations and said he will inform me if I made it. The very next day I get a call from recruiting HR that I cleared the final round too. A telephonic call with the HR Manager was scheduled to discuss usual recruitment formalities, my CTC, component wise break up, perks etc. Post which I was sent out an offer letter which I accepted. All in all, very good experience interviewing at WorkLLama. At every level I felt the intention of the interviewers was to genuinely find if the candidate is a good fit for the organization (which I think is all the more important for a product based start-up); and not try to satisfy their ego - which is a common theme I have come across particularly in service based MNCs.
