The interview was nice enough. I was asked some basic interview questions and I really enjoyed the woman I spoke with! Seemed like a pleasant enough environment however I was told I may not have enough experience even though I have been working in a similar role for years and was told that because of this lack of experience I would start at only 25K a year. I could not believe an offer that low was made. It would be impossible for anyone to live off of that salary. I appreciated the opportunity to interview but was extremely disappointed that I was offered such an absurd amount of compensation when I was definitely over qualified for the position. Though I understand that the role of receptionist may not normally be a high paying job, in this particular office the receptionist would also be taking on the role of office manager and I felt the amount of work involved in this role did not match the pay at all. I would hope in the future the company let's candidates know the low pay before they begin the interview process.
