The company is full of young talent with lots of experience in the car leasing/financing industry. You’ll get to work on something new each day if you are proactive and willing to accept you don’t know everything. I made some fantastic friends out of my colleagues at Drover and it rendered going to work a pleasure. The amount of mentorship I received was the highlight of my time at Drover!
Svantaggi
The company moves fast and the by-product of that approach is that sometimes things break (which by the way is totally normal for a hyper growth startup in an old space). One day a project you are working on could be priority #1 and the next day it could be scrapped. Sometimes this is bad luck but it can also be due to a combination of unchecked enthusiasm and missing due diligence.
Average communication on product roadmaps. I worked on and presented a new process that utilized a system which I was later told would be phased out, and greater transparency here would have saved time and resources.
Room for improvement re: socials/morale boosting activities. A ping pong table tucked away in the corner of the office sat unused for the entirety of my time with Drover. People can work hard but also have time play!

Encourage more opportunities for self expression and shared experience in the office outside 9-6 working hours. Overall, an immensely valuable experience as an intern!

Colloquio
An initial telephone call with Dan the hiring manager who is lovely. This was then followed by an interview. In person interview was a brief chat and then a half an hour assessment followed by meeting the CTO.
