My experience at Lovisa was deeply disappointing, especially for a brand that presents itself as a large international retailer. From the start, it became clear that many basic organizational structures are simply missing. The onboarding process is practically nonexistent. There is no structured training, no proper introduction to the role, and no clear guidelines for new employees. You are expected to start working immediately and figure things out on your own, often relying on colleagues to explain procedures informally. This creates unnecessary confusion and makes it difficult to understand expectations or perform the job effectively. Management and leadership are equally weak. Communication is inconsistent, guidance is minimal, and responsibilities are often unclear. Instead of clear direction, employees are left navigating a disorganized environment with little support. Professional development is essentially absent. There are no visible career paths, no structured feedback, and no development plans for employees who want to grow. Anyone hoping to build skills or progress within the company will find very limited opportunities. Even more surprising is the lack of modern HR systems. There seems to be little investment in proper HR processes, performance management, or employee development tools. For a global retail brand, the absence of these basic structures feels outdated and short-sighted. Overall, the company appears focused solely on keeping daily operations running, with little interest in building a well-structured organization or supporting its employees. For a brand of this size, the lack of leadership, structure, and commitment to staff development is frankly disappointing.
