My peers are pretty awesome. There are a few pretentious, entitled staff members, but most are pretty cool/laid back. Most of the managers are helpful and are laid back as well.

The partner group is incredibly dysfunctional, which sets the tone for the whole firm. The tax partners and the audit partners do not get along, which is evident in the separation of the two niches. It almost feels like we have two different firms inside one. ADKF is certainly a boy's club, where professionalism does NOT exist. The women in our firm, who, let's be frank, are smarter than most of the men in the firm, are discounted and given the smaller groups. They give larger groups to inexperienced men, while they could give them to some of my female peers that are far more experienced. I really didn't think sexism existed in the workplace anymore; I was wrong. It's 2016, guys. Several of our good people have left not because of pay, but because of the unprofessional atmosphere. Staff is now struggling because we no longer have good senior mentors like we once had. Two of the tax partners have egos bigger than our client base. They refuse to humble themselves to listen to the future leadership of the business. I feel like there is no real direction in the firm. Honestly, unless you're a white male, stay away from ADKF. The women leave, the minorities leave. Trust me.
