HR is basically useless. Sexual harassment claims get swept under the rug, if the harasser is liked by the higher ups.
The employee areas are horribly maintained. A lot of leaks, mold, and just disgusting smells in general.
I don't think it's appropriate to advertise a payday loan company during orientation. If your employees are having to resort to that, then you need to ask yourself if you are paying high enough wages.
Inner department fights are common. Someone gets promoted over others, and suddenly everyone is a backstabber. Once again, HR is pretty useless, so don't expect help when your department starts feeling like a warzone every day.
All of these issues results in the good employees leaving to better opportunities, while the bad ones continue to wallow in the mud. If you absolutely have to take a job here (or any of the hotels they service), keep your head down, pretend you like the job, and keep looking in your off time.
