Vantaggi
Decent stating salary for specific entry level programs/positions. Interviewing was a great experience! However, in the end lots of false promises were made in terms of company culture, travel/relocation, every day assignments, and hours worked.
Svantaggi
Co workers and friends of mine with similar backgrounds to me are constantly being contacted by recruiters (corporate and agency) for different positions at Superior Group. They have told me on multiple occasions that they have shown disinterest by not responding and flat out reply with "I am not interested." One of my current co workers even interviewed in person with them and had such a negative experience, yet them see to have forgotten and reach out to her on a weekly basis via LinkedIn, email and calling. Superior is just not up to par compared to other staffing and recruiting firms. They are very behind on their technology, CRM and ATS systems making it very difficult to recruit for the roles you are assigned. You are chained to your cubical from 8:00AM to 5:30PM with no flexibility for appointments, lunch breaks, or even to just go get a coffee. I felt as if I was always being monitored and watched no matter what, there is a serious lack of trust and communication between management and employees. I was told on several occasions from employees in different departments that I was talking too much and too loudly. The office is SILENT. It is expected that you sit at your desk, make your 50 calls a day and thats it. There were no options to work remotely or work from home or flex hours which is very popular with other recruiting companies. PTO is hard to take and there is always a "guilt trip" involved with it. After leaving Superior, I realized how happy I could be at a job. Leaving Superior was one of the best things I could have done for myself personally and professionally. I didn't realize until I left how much of a negative effect the poor culture was having on me. Everyone is different and is looking for something different. Different types of people feel accomplished and fulfilled with different work environments. However, this was not the right match for me. If you are considering a postion at Superior, I would strongly advise you to ask as many questions as possible during the interviewing process and do your research to make sure this is the type of working and lifestyle you want.
