Vantaggi
I have 2 centers close to where I live so I can choose to deliver from either station. The job is pretty simple to perform. (Follow customer instructions on app, if none, then place package out of public view and leave note on app of where you left the package) If you don't feel it is safe to leave the package. DO NOT leave it, take it back or call customer on app. You get to drive around town and visit different neighborhoods. At times there is little to no interaction with the customer. You get paid 2 times a week You can accept"reserved" offers for a future date You can do multiple blocks in one day. Support staff is very helpful and courteous.
Svantaggi
The number of packages you deliver will vary. For example, I have done a 3Hour blocks, where I delivered 50-60 packages in a neighborhood where the drop off locations were all within half a mile radius. There have been times during a 3Hour blocks when I had 21 packages to deliver, but had to drive a bit further to get to the drop off location. Some were businesses so you'll have to park your car roll up your windows and lock your car frequently. Sometimes you'll get 30 packages but with some bulk parcels. Having multiple drop offs in an APARTMENT complex can be a pain so go in to the pick up station KNOWING you'll stop at an appartment complex with 5-8 deliveries. Sometimes the ACCESS CODE given to you by the customer, via the Amazon app, will NOT work. This is when you try and call the customer to let them know they won't get their stuff if you don't get access into the APT. Say you'll have to return the package to the station and won't be receiving it for another day or two, customers will likely answer if you call leave a voicemail letting them know who you are and why you are outside their front door. The route the app gives may be faulty. There have been times when I make my first or second delivery at a house and then 20-30 packages later, I'm driving down the same street but delivering for the house on the other side of the street. So what I RECOMMEND is that you view your map that point the drop off location. If there is a drop off location nearby or literally across the street from where you are, click to reveal the address, then go to LIST and find the address. Click on it to continue delivering to THAT address. That way you save gas and won't have to drive past the same street. Keep a look out for that. Your car might get completely full so I wouldn't recommend bringing a companion along. I've gotten my car full to the point where I couldn't really see my side view and rear view mirror and it was a safety hazard. Since that time I preferred leaving 1 or 2 bulk items to fit ALL packages instead of trying to drive around like that. Very unsafe.
