Boss needs to be less self centered. Most of the people I worked with didn’t have nice things to say about you behind your back.

- Brilliant environment for junior professionals to start a career. Training is focused and effective, and the role is demanding. Expectations are also high regardless of age/seniority, forcing people to challenge themselves and build advanced skills. The professional competency you can expect to build at ApplianSys will serve you well as you progress your career. - Teamwork and collaboration is highly encouraged across the company - there is a tangible sense of 'togetherness' and a set of clearly defined common goals. In the sales team this fosters a positive and supportive culture. - Management are accessible and eager to invest time in development. - Remuneration for junior team members in most teams is good for the region, and scales quickly according to effort, as well as results. - Free parking (lots of workplaces don't have this). - Great opportunities for those interested in international travel.

Svantaggi

- Some old-fashioned views about work-life balance. Effort and commitment was often calculated according to willingness to work late nights. You certainly get back what you put in as personal development, but those with active social lives/families may struggle, especially within sales/marketing. - The limited scope for internal progression means you are unlikely to want to remain at ApplianSys for more than 3 years. - During my stay, there were no options for flexible working. - Within sales there is no commission, and the bonus is based on company performance, so while salary can increase over time to reflect results there is no immediate financial return on investment for closing sales.
