The talent they bring on is piss-poor; typically, they have no idea about the market and competitors. Many other truly cloud-native solutions are built with better APIs. Your teammates will definitely undercut your ability to deliver to make themselves look better. Valuation is relative to if the business will survive. There is no recognition for people who try to succeed without help, and the company does not respect grit, tenacity, or ethics.
