The sales organization is in hyper-growth mode. The current strategy is to hire as many people as possible and fire as many people as possible. Just see who sinks and who swims. Since there aren't many attorneys to call anymore, you are forced to harass them every 7 days, even if they told you "no" just a few days ago. Incomes have been declining across the board, even for AEs that have been here for years. The only way to make money at Avvo at this point is to: A: Be shady and dishonest. B: Be a Senior AE C: Have a friend in management. There's constant drug use in the office (cocaine and Percocet are Avvo AE favorites). Sales management is extremely incompetent. They don't know how to sell, they can't coach, and they definitely can't manage people. It's a passive aggressive micromanagement nightmare. You pretty much need to ask permission to go to the bathroom or grab a drink from the kitchen. The worst part of it all? There are extremely strict rules that are laid out. Breaking these rules means immediate termination, yet the rules are never enforced. Sales management is verbally abusive and bullies employees.
