The population is great and the work is important.

BRH is way too big. They do not put enough time and effort into their outlying clinics. They do not have enough oversight in their clinics. Things I saw while I worked there: - A medical assistant accidentally sticking herself with a needle and then still using the needing to inject a vaccine into a child. No write up or consequence or anything done at all. - Allowed an employee to repeatedly belittle, harrass, and make racist comments to other staff without consequence. - Manager refused to hire a qualified person because they had an accident (this is illegal). - Terminated employment of 2 providers for the legally protected right to organize staff trying to request better working environment. - Numerous HIPAA violations that were hidden and suppressed with no consequences. - Inadequate staff training - They hire MAs with no certification and no experience and expect them to be independent in just a few weeks. - They took over Meridian mental health services and then gradually closed many of their programs that were critical to the mental health community, including ACT teams. Also multiple of the mental healthcare providers left after this due to changes they made. - The CEO is unethical, heartless, and uninvolved.
