Vantaggi
A strong work ethic is valued but there is an understanding of work-life balance that is not usually found at other companies. Buck seems to value people as individuals with lives separate from the job and management makes a true effort to get to know you. Consistent training, and openness to new ideas. Great understanding and ties to the local, national, and international communities and sense of total commitment to the brand which makes it feel like family. CJ truly cares about the company and individuals and their contributions, rare for a CEO to pay close attention. HR does a good job of being very active with employees, internal employee appreciation events, etc. High regard for craftsmanship while still remaining profitable and true to the brand is to be applauded. I've worked for many many companies in different positions and while no company is perfect of course, Buck is one of the best jobs I've had.
Svantaggi
While there appears to be upward mobility, growth within the company seems to be on the slower side and at times unclear reasoning. There is a disconnect between departments and even the executives, resulting often in "butting heads", even with a common goal, which leads to delays in decision making. Some typical workplace drama and clashing of personalities. Slightly "old-school" mentality on many things, which can be either a pro or a con depending on the situation and the person (has been both a pro and a con at times for me).
