Vantaggi

The only pro is that I no longer work here

Svantaggi

Hands down the worst, most toxic place I have ever worked. The CEO/founder Norman Anderson is the P.T. Barnum of infrastructure; its all lies. The "top 100 infrastructure projects" lists he would produce, though he would tout his "proprietary algorithm" used to produce them, were 90% the result of a handful of interns arbitrarily assigning scores 1-5 to a list of projects and hitting the average function in excel. The remaining 10% were determined at Norman's discretion based on who he was trying to business develop/squeeze money out of. No ethical or accountability structures existed at CGLA.

Vantaggi

The goals of the company are good- creating an intersection for all the different parts of the infrastructure industry in the hope that will lead to better support for projects around the world. The new office is in a great location right by multiple metro stops near the white house.

Svantaggi

Any bonuses or commissions are either going to be significantly less than promised and will come extremely late, if you even receive them at all. You should expect to receive your base salary and nothing else. This is reflective of the overall poor financial management of the company which effects all aspects of the business whether that be securing hotels to host forums or failing to pay short term contractors who help out on the various forums. You should expect to work very long hours leading up to the forums, with no overtime pay or breaks after the event. The CEOs leadership style has created an extremely toxic work environment that leaves employees hostile toward each other and the company as they attempt to react and manage his whims. This is not a company where motivation and drive are rewarded, and the employees who stay the longest and get paid the most are the least effective and most damaging to morale.
