The typical upper management problems. - Technology "costs" the company money. They'll cut corners whereever they can, (still pretending to investors they're on top of it). This includes not wanting to pay for essential libraries but also boils down to minimal tech salaries and bonuses. - Performance reviews happen every Second year, this includes deferred bonuses, and payouts happen months after being offered the bonus. - Management will keep you working on a single project all year, but later state you only do "one" thing. - Again, very low salary, especially considering it being a hedge fund. Most finance jobs offer more to graduates than they do to senior devs here. - Anti-environment ethics internally - Some long-term people seem to have lost their drive but live off their title, and will try to keep you down so they can keep their status.

Relatively advanced IT infrastructure. Get things done is more important than face time. If you are in the operation team, good mobility to experience different functions. Less so in the trading/investment front.

As with any company that grew bigger, sufficient communications are sometimes lacking.
