Vantaggi
I joined Cage Point after many years after working in larger agencies and while it was an adjustment, overall the experience was very positive (see below). The agency is fast-paced and has a start-up feel but with that came the opportunity to learn a lot of different types of media from many smart people.
1. We met every morning to talk through account status and what we had going on for that day. This was helpful because of the remote environment but also made the team feel connected and that everyone was up-to-date with what has happening
2. My opinions were always considered and used to make account decisions. Since the teams are smaller everyone has a seat at the table compared to larger agencies where things get lost in the shuffle.
3. Clients can be crazy, as they are everywhere, but team members were always willing to take time to answer questions or talk through ideas
4. Was always given positive reinforcement and feedback
5. Always asked if there was anything else I was interested in that we were not doing on my accounts
Svantaggi
While I don't find these unique to the agency and common among the industry the below are more what to keep in mind:
1. Training can be challenging in a virtual environment so depending on your level you may need to allocate more time to it
2. Multi-tasking and not being shy to speak up if you are overwhelmed, need help, etc. is key and needed to succeed here - not a con per say but something to keep in mind
