great place to work, lots of hours and opportunities

long days but the pay is good

The work is doable, the one thing that was said to me was that you can never be to sure if you will be there tomorrow, which to me meant work stability was not good. I had perfect attendance and I showed up every day, my boss was always my priority, but when I was asked to work OT by another superior, my direct boss was reluctant to pay overtime. Also other people told me that people weren't so kind there, which I found to be true. But I prevailed because I think people will be nice if your nice back to them. I pretty much got along with everybody in being a team player. Unfortunately the bosses all have their favorites and they cater to them. So you see people working hard and you see other people going to lunch with the bosses for an hour and a half and being paid for it. Wish things had been better because it really is a good place to work.The HR manager is awesome because she tries to promote good activities and tries to promote camaraderie.

My challenge came early once I put in my 1st work work evaluation my boss asked me to follow him to the gas station, I thought he was going to drop his car off to be repaired. Instead he told me to pull up in the gas pump right behind him so he could put gas in my car. I didn't feel this to be honest or correct and I told him I'd fueled up my car that morning, he topped off the gas in my car anyway. Being fairly new this was quite a dilemma and I felt like I was put on the spot. I'm not dishonest and this this is not something that I do. He told me he was rewarding me and told me not to tell anyone I sense he may have been using the company credit card. He did not put very much gas in my car but I still did not feel good about the whole situation, I regard this is stealing and stealing is wrong. I just wonder how many other employees he's done this with. He also put his favorites in higher positions because they were his friend.
