Management's greatest strength is hiring skillful people who are fun to work with. You can trust the majority of your coworkers to make valuable contributions to the work and overall company culture. The environment is generally relaxed with flexible hours and no dress code.

Management does not appear to take pride in their work. Cheef produces low-quality products (hemp flower full of stems and seeds, super harsh vapes, foul-smelling pet treats, etc.) and the CEO openly admits to thinking cannabis is disgusting. Executives throw around a lot of corporate doublespeak about how the company is a "tribe," but that seems like empty lip service given the minimal benefits they offer. You get 3 sick days per year (the government-mandated minimum), no PTO, and no remote work. They offer no employee discount, but they will give you one free product if you leave them a 5-star review on Amazon (before trying the product). Management does not appear to be invested in the employees, creating few opportunities for growth. The turnover rate at Cheef is very high, partly due to layoffs, but mostly due to people jumping ship and going to jobs with more benefits and opportunities to grow. Overall, Cheef is an extremely volatile business. They are constantly adding new brands and dropping others. They change the SOP often, then give up on developments halfway through implementing them. The management seems to be in way over their head, and I can't see any stability in the company's future, if it even has one.
