Great place to work. Everyone is super friendly helpful and responsive.

For the most part the hours are regular with no weekends and little overtime. Because the courthouse has to be secured by deputies and you cannot take the work home, supervisors are limited on requiring you do things beyond normal work hours.

Absolutely no opportunity for advancement. We have many college graduates working in basic clerical positions. The people who have advanced have been there for years and will be there until they retire. Interestingly the pay varies greatly for the same position depending on what department or agency you work for in the county. Many positions are filled through nepotism and the person given the position does not have the required education or skills posted in the job description. Also the jobs are not even posted so that you would even have a remote chance of applying.
