Vantaggi
This internship pushed me far outside my comfort zone and taught me how to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Every day required resilience, adaptability, and confidence- skills that can only be acquired through experience. I learned how to handle rejection with professionalism, read customers’ needs quickly, and tailor my approach to different personalities and situations. This internship also strengthened my time management, goal-setting, and teamwork abilities. Working under performance-based goals taught me how to stay motivated and maintain a positive attitude even during tough days. By the end of the experience, I not only improved my sales techniques but also grew as a person — becoming more confident, persistent, and comfortable initiating conversations with anyone.
Svantaggi
One downside of the internship was the demanding nature of door-to-door work — long hours in varying weather conditions and frequent rejection could be mentally and physically exhausting. Additionally, success often depended on external factors like neighborhood demographics or customer mood. However, the benefits from embracing these cons are the greatest lessons I learned.
