Poor project management, so always have unnecessarily stressful periods coming up to deadlines (fortunately don't have too many of these) Recent obsession with external/public comms and how CCC will be seen in the media Very limited opportunities for progression, most people do the job a few years and then leave in order to get promoted

If you want to work on climate policy in the UK there is nowhere better - its the sweet spot of influencing policy but without much of the tediousness and short-sightedness of Government. We benefit from clearly defined, impactful outputs, while induviduals also have a lot of scope to influence the shape of their work - people are generally trusted to deliver and explore areas of interest (contrary to some other reviews here), and you get a big platform due to the organisations reputation and role, which is unique. Have also supproted my development through further education and opportunities for internal promotion.

Fair to say some inexperienced managers on a learning curve, and could be more open about decisions but team is trying to improve. Definitely can be full on workload at times but the work is rewarding and there are also opportunities for down time. There is a huge amount of trust and agency about how to spend the working day. Diversity of the organisation needs to be improved, but I think this is accepted.
