E.D. has a relaxed atmosphere and most employees are genuinely nice. No divas. Office politics is a rarity. Part of a larger, stable corporate parent that's fiscally conservative. Attitude towards time-off and work/life balance is modern and supportive. Senior management makes a real effort to keep people happy and informed. Lots of effort for recognizing special employee performance. The whole company makes a big deal out of Halloween: departments do themed decorations and costumes with contests and prizes. It's a lot of fun. High concentration of female management. Strong focus on philanthropy fundraisers like bake sales, pot lucks, raffles, etc. Many employees have 10 and 20 year history with company.

- Compensation is only so-so (but that's offset by some factors above). - High turnover for some areas like marketing. - Not enough innovation, too much "that's how we've always done it" - Limited advancement - It's the exception but a few incompetent managers have long tenures and still have jobs - Needlessly time-consuming performance review process: clumsy web interface, lots of steps, pointless goals and sub-goals w/back and forth between employee and manager
