Crane have some good policies regarding employee welfare so better now. The managers support you for any trainings, new career path so don't worry if feel stuck during your tenure. You can always discuss with them and choose a new path or new learnings. The teams always keep on latest tech and generic code base to save from redundancy or bad coding.

Variable pay is a myth here, it's unexpectedly lower than your weekly wages so don't expect a healthy amount on year end. Office environment is OK.
