Love the clients, love the vertical, get along really well with most of the staff. The pay is decent and there is usually a little travel involved.

The CEO. This would be a great place to work if not for him. He is difficult at best to work with. Every instruction is strategically missing some valuable information that "you should already know." When he gives instruction, it isn't to help you, it's to attempt to prove that he is smarter than you. He forgets what he says and instructions often radically change from one meeting to the next. He cannot calculate time with more than one project in mind, so deadlines are based on how long it would take if you do nothing else until it is due, including breaks to eat, sleep, or work on other tasks. He prefers to work under pressure, so will often wait till the day a project is due to start on it. Often his staff finds out about it at the same time so most days are spent putting out fires. He spends all his time on processes leaving little to none for execution.

There’s plenty to learn for anyone who’s willing to ask questions, put in the work, and take on the extra responsibility. Whatever you lose in work/life balance, you more than gain in experience and potential for career advancement. I know from personal experience what time at DE can do for your career.

Deadlines come up fast at DE. A lot of times, they would change at the last minute or there would be new changes you’d have to incorporate in the same amount of time.

I have to agree with everything about the other honest and authentic reviewers. Awful over-pressured atmosphere. I am almost certain the "positive" reviews on here are fake. Owner is uber micro-manager and absolutely enthralled by power and ego. Unrealistic expectations and punish you for not knowing how to do something and speak to you in very condescending tones. Extremely unprofessional in putting others employees down. I was appalled. It was like a boot camp. Even the most desperate of souls would not last here. Save yourself the time. You will hate it. They have extremely high turnover for a reason. I have never experienced a job this miserable in my entire life. They tell you its okay to seldom check non business related web pages in the beginning but its actually not. The owner sits and monitors your every move and is waiting on the opportunity to pounce in a verbal attack and possible termination the second you peel your eyes away from your assignment. You literally have to work each second of the day. It is like prison. I also had a strong suspicion that they tapped the rooms to listen in on employee conversation. You have NO privacy.
