It's sad when the team loses

Season tickets to games, free lunch, and coworkers are generally nice (although the employee population as a whole very much lacks racial diversity).

You can feel the tension in the office most days between certain department leaders. Executive leaders have different agenda's which leads to conflicting projects/tasks for the people below them. PTO is unlimited but that is a trap. In certain departments, you are expected to keep your PTO on the down low. It is clear employees' physical safety and mental health are not valued when employees are being asked to trek through an ice or snow storm to sit in their cubicle when we could have worked from home that one day and not risked being in a car accident. Additionally, I have had a number of coworkers who have kids that have school snow days and they need adult supervision but were told too bad and that they still had to come into the office. Additionally, only select departments were asked to come into the office between Christmas and New Years (2025). In the grand scheme of things, one day in the office is not make or break, but its the pricipal of it. Why could we have not worked from home that one day? I had multiple coworkers who were working remotely because their families are located out of state that had to cut their time with their family short to come into the office for one day during the holidays. At some points its you have to stop and think, is that really necesary? Will the business collapse if we work remotely on December 30?
