Most of the products that DisplayLink make are very good. Decent salary depending on your role. Some really nice people in the office. Very little office politics so far. Great faculties and access to early builds of OS. Different daily food vans through out the day come at the front of your office. Nice open glass office. Very little cubicles around here.

Abysmal training. You either get the software or not. You really are thrown in the deep end with the software and hardware. I be very cautious if I was new starter in QA testing and they just did that to me. You gotta make sure you get things right the first time. Basically asking for robotic staff members. The QA team feels very odd to bond with and speak about QA issues. I know they are good people but it feels strictly work with them. Period. High Turnover, you see a lot of people leaving rather then staying. CCTV cameras are everywhere inside the office. Its very Over The Top for a small company and should have stopped at the front entrance but DisplayLink make you aware of this before you start just so you dont get surprised. I do understand about equipment getting stolen but, have a bit of faith in your team once in a while will you guys? Expect to work on the weekend. We had deadlines where it went towards both weekends and ending on Sunday nights. Expect this to happen frequently. But you get free food and taxi serviced if you do decide to take up the weekend offer but still not worth the pain. Some of the QA staff who raise bugs are like talking to brick walls and conversations will always be heavily one sides arguments. I feel sorry for the devs who have to put up with it and fix invisible issues all the time. QA staff going to QA events/meetups to hopefully learn and knowledge share to the team only to learn very little and hype up how very little they have learnt. Basically pretending to know a lot but not showing it. Total waste of time and money. Contractors and Permanent staff get treated differently from work aspects both in training and how they are treated which is really bad for work culture. Managers and team leaders always ask questions like, “How do we this?” or “How do we resolve that?” But rarely ever put in any effort to find a solution and put it all on the team. Lot of the Managers and Seniors put a lot of false hope with career progression. This is just hearing from others trying to progress within the company but simply cant.
