Vantaggi
Not many pros. Co-workers were great, but that’s it.
Svantaggi
Biggest complaint is the extremely low pay. They hire web developers (most right out of boot camp) and then pay them barely above minimum wage. It’s about 50% less than industry standards. They claim they can’t justify it based on the work we do, but it was pointed out all the different coding languages, frameworks, and platforms that are used in the job on a daily basis and they’re response was “Good point,” but they still didn’t give us a raise. People started quitting left and right as a result. Management is also terrible. The department head of the production team is temperamental, condescending, doesn’t communicate well with the team, and only cares about getting the websites through the queue even if it means cutting corners and diminished quality just to get them to the next queue and make the numbers look good. He does not treat his employees as people, but as factory workers and creates a hostile work environment. You will NOT grow under his management. He also plays major favoritism with some of the people on the team. He insults other departments behind their back. He also has no problem throwing you under the bus and blaming you when a process gets criticized that he told you to do. Instead of telling upper management that he told you to do it this way, he will completely let you take the fall and won’t say anything in your defense. He will also ignore good suggestions. He has also insulted people directly to their face. He is just absolutely TERRIBLE to work with.
