They hire new grads. Get to do paid travel. Get to do and learn many aspects of the business (data acquisition, processing, interpretation, sales) early on. You will quickly be given the opportunity to learn and perform a new role because you're the only person who is quasi-qualified for it. Base salary is lackluster but paid overtime, performance bonus, and travel bonuses are great!

Sometimes you have to have to keep travelling (work-life balance can be poor). People are added to the leadership team not because they are a good choice for leadership but because they are the internal applicant who is most "senior". External training is lacking.
