Vantaggi

They give you a lot of autonomy in how you do your job and structure your day. Very friendly and helpful co-workers in all departments. The product (school websites) is very good and it is not a tough sell. Great work/life balance. You are never pressured to be constantly working during your time off

Svantaggi

No work from home options, even if it you are the only person in a particular office that day or there is severe weather. Commission structure is very complex, and it is very unique among sales jobs Company is VERY spread out, and sometimes it can be hard to feel a part of the bigger company outside of just your office

Vantaggi

If you're a student, gaining experience on the resume here is a good idea but just treat it like an internship.

Svantaggi

There are multiple cons to this company. I have worked here for a long time and I am not exaggerating with my 1 Star ratings. This company makes false promises about career path opportunities and does not use any of the latest technologies for software development. They do not beta test their software and puts emphasis on launching immediately as the final line of code is written. They also pay well under industry average and is reluctant to increase that as they believe you get paid too much for what you do. Finally, this company believes in micromanaging every thing you're paid to do. If you don't like that, do not work here.

Our former employee claims he had worked at Educational Networks for a long time. That is correct. He had been with us for more than 6 years. But why did he stay at Educational Networks for so long if he had such a low opinion of the company? The truth is that he had been treated well and with respect, and he had been compensated well, too. He did a great job most of the time. However, he was disappointed in the end when he was denied the promotion he had requested, which was to a position that did not even exist at the company. I agree with our former employee that we have a lot of highly talented people in our team. That's why we're so successful, and I am very proud of them. However, contrary to what he claims, both voluntary and involuntary turnover rates are extremely low at Educational Networks. In New York City, where our headquarters are located, we compete successfully against the biggest software companies in the US for recruiting and retaining talent. We certainly embrace talent and compensate competitively. Unfortunately our former employee is technically not qualified to evaluate the practices of our software design and engineering team. I wish him the best of luck in his future career.
