Functions included interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, customer intervention (Amazon external customer) delivery and technology support, and much more. Nice to work for a Business Owner who genuinely cared for people - unlike much of Corporate America. Emerald displayed solid business ethics and integrity. The owner and fellow Dispatch team took pride in our mission on a daily basis. In this job you interact with a variety of good, hard working people. Diversity, inclusion, honesty and integrity are some of the attributes that define Emerald. Challenging at times, such as fire-fighting an issue where people skills are a necessity. But such challenges create opportunities to seek continuous improvement in process execution. Additional problem resolution using technology and deductive reasoning adds creative analysis to your daily work. Our team had the highest standards of the three Driver companies in Amazon.

Long days at times; driver frustrations; frequent process and rule changes by Amazon. Weather related problems throw expectations off track; some Drivers took short cuts which Amazon would flag to the detriment of the Driver. Communication to the entire team was always a challenge. Amazon technology was frequently flawed. Amazon leadership was very disorganized resulting in misunderstanding, driver frustration, and ultimately caused Driver turnover to increase. Amazon showed lack of concern for Driver's well being - it was always about getting the package delivered at any cost!
