My co-workers are very nice and the new $250k foyer is very pretty.

Used to be a pleasure working for them when long term managers were in charge who understood the business and knew how to treat people but not now. The empty suits now in charge at UP and Oak Brook are all leaders in name only who have alienated many employees with their corporate CYA attitudes, brown nosing and trendy buzzwords. It's criminal how a 100 year old, once great company has come to this. Many rumors of malfeasance by top management are rife in the company and many are planning to leave.

HR at Federal Signal consistently fails to protect employees or uphold even basic standards of fairness. Issues are ignored until they become crises, complaints are brushed off, and there’s a clear pattern of siding with management instead of addressing legitimate concerns. Communication is vague, inconsistent, and often intentionally evasive. Policies are enforced selectively, favoritism is obvious, and HR’s approach to employee wellbeing feels performative at best. Instead of creating a safe, accountable workplace, HR contributes to confusion, mistrust, and a culture where employees feel disposable and unsupported. That now hiring sign outside will be there for a VERY long time
