Actually nothing. Anything that was a positive about Funnel changed or was rescinded by upper management.

Funnel hired me as a remote employee. They knew where I lived (3 hour drive from the office) and I was assured by the hiring manager and recruiter that was fully acceptable. Within 1 year of working there and achieving outstanding results the CEO in Sweden announced RTO for everyone, putting dozens of employees out of a job or forcing them to pick up their lives an move with 0 financial assistance and less than 2 months notice. Leadership (based in Sweden) is out of touch with their employees and lacks any decency or morality. Leadership in Boston/US in nonexistent as it is made up of spineless cowards who say yes to the boss while admitting what is happening is not for the benefit of the company. If you are hired to be a people manager, advocate for your people. If you are hired to be a leader, lead. But to sit back and talk out of both sides of your mouth is weak character and emblematic of the type of organization that Funnel is to its core. Working at Funnel now means you will be micro managed, and your time in and out of the office will be tracked via electronic key cards, you will not be judged by the quality of your work but rather by how much you are willing to suck up to upper management in Sweden when they visit the US. Top performers are not valued here. If you like to word hard and be rewarded this is NOT the place for you.

We strongly believe in a culture of teamwork and in person collaboration and have tried our very best to be transparent and communicate our belief that working together, face to face, in the office is essential to our ability to collaborate effectively and to innovate with speed. At the same time as we now expect Funnel employees to work more days in the office than remotely, we still offer a great flexibility to decide together with the team and manager on when you are in the office and when you are not Another thing that is important to us is employee autonomy with emphasis on accountability. If expectations aren’t met, managers are expected to support employees for success, this support can for some be perceived as micro-management. However, constructive feedback is always encouraged and we take pride in enhancing our leadership and work practices. You are welcome to contact our Chief People Officer, Sabina Klint, with your concerns and we will listen and discuss what has happened in your situation, what we can learn from that and improve for the future.

The people and leadership are second to none. Having "lived" through some challenging environments of late, getting here was a breath of fresh air as your work and insights feel valued. The product has sold itself for years, meaning the opportunity for growth is REAL as we look to expand our motions and become a truly multi-product platform. The office(s) are great, and I genuinely look forward to coming into the office daily. And the additional perks (annual-ish company retreats, post-work get-togethers, quarterly events) added to the benefits package make this a very appealing place.

I hate when people say "none that I can think of", so I'll add a couple here and there for balance. :-) - the multi-geo offices and being HQ'd in Sweden can sometimes pose challenges in a GSD attitude required for success and scale. Time difference alone leads to some of these challenges - the sales org is undergoing a transition from more of an "inbound" culture that tends to be transactional, to a bit more "outbound" and consultative. Change management on that front could prove hard - In-office: while I love it, it's a pretty strict 4-day-a-week policy, and that's not for everyone
