Vantaggi
I worked at Gorilla for 6 years, and saw this company from a small SI to a full service digital agency. In that time I was given incredible opportunity to grow professionally, serving in four different roles (PM, Business Architect, Strategic Operations, and Client Executive). The leadership team continued to support me with each change I made, and really set me up for huge career success. It was a tough decision to leave, but because of the experience I gained at Gorilla, I was presented a COO opportunity at another company that I couldn’t pass up. As Gorilla continues to grow and be one of (if not the) top digital agency, there continues to be great career opportunities, and go-getters are rewarded. If you present ideas on new offerings or different ways to approach something, the leadership team has always been welcoming to the suggestions. You won’t get this type of attention at one of the larger firms…Gorilla still being the lone hold-out of a single owner puts them in a very special position for employees. I find it impressive the culture was able to remain through the years of organization evolution. Nearly every Friday you'll still have the C-suite and leadership team having beers with everybody hanging out in the cafe. They still pull the entire organization together each quarter to review company successes, recognize employees, communicate department updates, and just enjoy each other as friends. On my last day, the CEO took time out to talk with me and offered me his full support at my next company. He encouraged me to reach out to him if I need advice or help navigating the space in my new role. I’ve never left an organization and had such great supportive relationships, and folks that genuinely cared about my success outside of the organization. I stopped by the office to say hi to friends a few weeks after I left, and the COO pulled me into his office and was giving me advice and also encouraged me to reach out to him at any time if I hit a challenge he could assist with. Although it was time for a new adventure for me, as I was transitioning out I was actively working with a close friend trying to get him interviews and engaged at Gorilla. I think that alone speaks for itself.

This isn't really a 'cons', but Glassdoor requires one =). Gorilla's projects and clients are getting more and more complex, which is requiring more travel and sometimes longer hours. This is a good thing, and for high performers, really engaging (and, to counter the travel, Gorilla has implemented travel bonuses, which is an outstanding benefit!).
