Guru's success hasn't been linear; instead, a series of market events have led to the company needing to stay on its toes. At times, the company has done a better job of that than others. But the recent run of AI market momentum feels like an opportunity Guru is uniquely positioned to take advantage of given its team and the fact that Guru has been building outcome oriented AI features for more than half of a decade. The culture here is special. The people are sharp. And the company is more focused than it has been in a really long time.

Change is hard - and Guru has certainly undergone its fair share of change. And with that kind of change comes uncertainty and decisiveness that can get the best of a company's culture. But through it all (remote work, macro events and reorgs, departures, AI) the team at Guru has done their best to respond transparently and directly - even if it's less than good news. Not every decision the team has made has been the right one. Far from it. But I feel like I always have the context necessary to understand the why behind those decisions. And, I often find we embrace those failures and don't make the same mistakes twice.
