Before commenting, I want to be honest about the source of my perspective. I was recruited to work here by two former colleagues I had a good relationship with. Everything was good for a time and we achieved ambitious goals as a team. Earlier this year those relationships apparently went south for reasons that I still don't understand and I was "managed out" and fired about 3 months ago. I waited to add a review so I wouldn't come across as bitter or unfair. Also, being fired from here was a blessing in disguise - my current work situation is better from any perspective - so I truly don't have any hard feelings. Here is my view: a few people are becoming too influential underneath Chris and their opinions are impacting how things are ran outside of their departments. I have personally seen senior people in one department talk about how people in another department aren't working hard enough, then seen those people pushed out of the company at a later date. Same people got rid of me even though the state I managed hit its record sales high the month before. If one person's opinion becomes dominant and they are willing to turn over people for little more than not liking them, company morale and performance can deteriorate. A lot of good people work at Hallmark and its unfortunate to see their work and lives be influenced by people that don't even understand what they do.
