If you look at previous reviews from others mentioning cronyism and Hamilton Beach as a "good ole boys club", they are 100% correct. Some departments are better managed than others where you have the ability to grow your career in a drama-free team. However, there are other teams with clear problems that should be avoided at all costs. If perceptive enough, you'll likely catch it during the interview process. Considering the current climate of this country with many movements shining light on racial inequities, this company has in many times driven out smart people of color where people have found themselves in undeserving and totally inappropriate situations. Look at the representation of leadership at Hamilton Beach across all levels and ask yourself where you fit. Also worth mentioning is an employee still with the company who has had multiple sexual harassment claims against him.
