Upper management can become too removed from the lower-level work and processes that drive the platform. The company often chases after big clients and subsequently neglects developing the core platform. Even though Haystax is supposed to be a "product" company, it more often than not feels like a consulting/services company that tailors one-off products to specific clients. Working at a company where signing 1 - 2 clients will "make or break" the company is stressful.
