Vantaggi
This is a family. Everyone lives for the brand and is supporting each other constantly. Even after leaving, I remained friends with people I worked with.
Constant support from your peers "keep up the good work!" and "you're doing amazing!" is a great ego-boost. Every market gives tips to each other on how to improve.
Positive reinforcement from the Tea-EO.
Company meeting is like a family reunion.
Svantaggi
Backlash from people that HATE Coca Cola. It's hard to say that Honest Tea stands for one thing when it's under a parent company that stands for something else. Especially GMO labeling.
Expect at least 60 hour work weeks. It is nonstop. You are on your feet constantly, ruining your car from hauling tea around, and it is purely exhausting. Even after telling upper management that it needs to stop (it's exclusively field marketing that has this problem) and HR aware of being overworked, nothing is enforced even though they say it is.
Pressure from regional managers to do an insane amount of demos and events. Severely understaffed and no help from management. Low budgets force you to work events by yourself.
Summer interns are treated like work horses. When they complain, management doesn't care.
No personal life.
Upper management has had NO management training. Bad relationships and immaturity form and again, upper management and HR do nothing to prevent hostile work environments.
Underpaid. They hire grunts for marketing managers and burn them out.
Working on your phone even while driving is normal-no safety concerns.
